On the Extrapolation of Stability Derivatives to Combined Changes in Airspeed and Angles of Attack and Sideslip

The variation in stability derivatives with airspeed and angles of attack sideslip is determined using only the dependence aerodynamic forces moments on modulus direction velocity. Analytic extrapolation factors are obtained for all 12 longitudinal plus lateral linear decoupled motion. relate two flight conditions different airspeeds, (AoA), (AoS). formulas were validated by comparison results computational fluid dynamics (CFD) Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (RANS) equations. concerns extrapolated full longitudinal–lateral matrix from one landing takeoff condition a V-tailed aircraft, to 10 other cases AoAs, AoSs.
